As a reborn artist I put many hours in my creations to make sure you will receive only a quality reborn. Up for your consideration is my version of the Realborn kit, Alma from Bountiful Babyl It is a first quality kit that comes with a COA. If you are new to reborns or not sure about what a Realborn is you may want to visit Bountiful Baby website to read about it. Also, then you can compare my version with the prototypes.
Alma has been painted with genesis heat set paint. I have used GHSP's since I began reborning. The paint adheres to the vinyl and I am able to create very realistic translucent layers.
The doll has realistic blushing, mottled skin tones, transparent undertones where the skin would be thinner. I have shaded each crease and wrinkle. I have worked on Alma for weeks to create this most realistic version. I gave her rooted eyelashes. The limbs were given a coat of permanent matte varnish.
I have given Alma a gorgeous head of painted hair. For the hair I did use ultimate fusion air dry paints. The paint allows for an amazing head of real looking hair. When I am working on a newborn I prefer to paint the hair over rooting. It lays closer to the baby's head and allows for a very wispy looking head of hair with parts of the scalp to show through. I have given Alma a darling hair style with lots of baby hairs and a darling swirl.
Alma is a realistic size for a newborn. She is 19 inches and weighs 5 pounds. She feels so real and cuddly when held. I love holding her. She is so real looking I almost expect her to open her eyes. The doll is weighted with fine glass beads, quality fiber fill and poly pellets. She has full length limbs which allows for a larger variety of baby clothing. She has a quality cloth body that was recommended for her by Bountiful Baby.
I spend many days and weeks creating one of my dolls. I create them to last for many years with proper care. My dolls are priced reasonably and you are getting a quality doll.
The doll will arrive with all of the clothing she is seen wearing. The crochet cocoon is not included and is a prop only. Because of the open mouth of Alma she can hold a modified pacifier very nicely. I will include a care sheet with my suggestions for keeping the doll in pristine condition. I also create a custom CERTIFICATE OF ADOPTION with each doll I sell. Please let me know upon your purchase if you want the name, Alma, or if you want to choose the name for the doll. Also, what the name of the adoption parent will be.
Please be aware the doll has not been created to be a playtoy but should be treated like a fine collectible. Also, if you have any chewing pets, please use caution as the limbs contain fine glass beads.
