Up for "adoption" is my version of this amazing kit Bailey sculpted by the talented Natalie Scholl. It is taking me many hours to give this beautiful little angel this most realistic look. She is an absolutely beautiful version of a slightly older newborn. It has been sheer pleasure bringing this baby doll to this lifelike appearance.
Natalie Scholl is a trail blazer in the world of reborns dolls with her Jayden. This kit is a beautiful example of her amazing talent. I loved working with the graceful open hands on this gorgeous kit. She is a good-sized doll and a bit heavy to hold. Still feeling like the weight of a real baby doll. Bailey does have jointed 3/4 length arms. This makes dressing her easy but does limit her to items with sleeves. Also, be aware that because the arms are jointed they have more of a tendency to move more freely. She has beautiful limbs and the most precious chubby face. She is a limited sold out edition of 202/500. Bailey has a most beautiful dewy complexion.

She has been given a slightly mottled complexion that leans towards the fairer side.. I have given the multiple layers of skin tones, shaded creases and wrinkles, given her blue undertones in areas where the babies skin would be thinner. I gave her tiny broken capillaries on here eyelids and cheeks. She is a bigger doll and weighs 6 pounds. Her head does move easily as does her arms. Her legs can be carefully slightly moved for posing and holding. She is weighted with fine glass beads and fiber fill. She feels amazing real and cuddly.
I decided with this beautiful example of a reborn baby doll to give her an amazing head of rooted hair. It has been carefully directionally rooted with a very fine rooting needle. It can be carefully combed and styled. The mohair is premium quality from Slumberland Nursery. I rooted the hair in shades of dark to medium brown and kid mohair to yearling. opted to paint. While most of my dolls have painted hair because of Bailey being a slightly larger doll I wanted to take the extra effort and give her this beautiful head of rooted hair. Also, the eyelashes are rooted with the same mohair. The hair and lashes have been securely glued from within, but I always recommend using care when putting clothing over the head.
Bailey is wearing mostly newborn clothing. She is not overly floppy. I would still recommend supporting her head. Please be aware that my doll is not meant to be a play toy for a small child. It should be handled carefully. My baby doll can stay beautiful for years to come with proper care. Please use care if you have pets that like to chew as the limbs contain fine glass beads.
The doll's eyebrows have been delicately painted and she was given a baby look manicure on her toe and fingernail tips. Please be aware I do NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on my doll's if you have questions at all about how the doll was painted, assembled or photographed please contact me and I will answer your questions.
I did not give the doll any magnets. Her layette will come with the clothing she is seen wearing, a receiving blanket that she will be wrapped in, an extra pamper, her Certificate of Authenticity, and a care sheet with my personal recommendations for keeping her pristine. No other items or props will be included (I normally do send along a little extra outfit of my choosing.) A note about the little pink top with the grey animals. It is really not good on the doll. I will replace it with another nice outfit of my choosing.
