The Blake twins are identical girls made from one sleeping and one awake version of the adorable kit by Bountiful Baby. This baby is discontinued and sold out at the factory. It will be a rare event to find this baby available through normal means. I had mine stashed away and recently discovered them in my inventory. These babies are really special.
They are 18 inches long and weigh 5 pounds each. They have female anatomically correct torsos to allow the drink and wet mechanism. Their arms, legs, and heads turn easily with gentle care. Never pull the limbs, especially when changing or dressing.
Their hair is gorgeously soft top-quality dark brown mohair. The eyebrows are rooted. The lashes are rooted on the sleeping baby, and the awake baby has applied ones carefully and deeply attached with realistic trimming.
Since Blake babies have an open mouth, they can drink from any regular bottle and take most pacifiers without modifications. They may drink distilled water or faux formula made from distilled water and sunscreen lotion. I do not know if other types of formula will work, but I have tested this one and am assured that it is safe to use. If there is ever a concern about a possible clog in the system, simple feed the baby a half bottle of vinegar and water. It is a good idea to “burp” the baby by holding her upright after feeding. It’s also a good idea to use a bib or burp cloth when feeding so that dripping does not damage the paint on the face areas.
A word about the unique system that permits the drink and wet system to work. There is no possibility of leaking water inside the body. The plastic tubing is securely sealed inside from mouth to bottom and no liquid can escape. It takes nearly a week to assemble this product due to repeated layering and drying of super bonding waterproof glue. Because of this feature, the weighting and stuffing materials are secure. It is recommended that the baby not stay in super wet diapers for long periods of time.
Included with these babies are the outfits shown in the pictures, bottles, pacifiers, diapers, hair bands, and blankets. They will have a supply of disposable diapers and a few surprises as well.
Reborn dolls are not toys for children. They are collectible works of art for adult enthusiasts to display, collect, role play, or use for therapy. They cannot withstand the rough play of children.
