Baby Moses, first in 4 of my Babies of the Bible series, was created from the Max sculpt from Bountiful Baby. He is a full body vinyl doll weighted to 2 1/2 pounds and is 14 inches long. He was painted with artist quality acrylic paints and is sealed for durability and to prevent fading. He has dark top quality rooted mohair which is sealed on the inside.
For authenticity this baby includes his basket, a gauzy blanket, and a mattress and pillow to match. He also includes a modified loincloth (attached using velcro) to simulate the type of diapering done in that era. He has a custom-made jacket with gold trim such as might have been worn by the royalty into which he was adopted. He also has a magnetic pacifier. Although these did not exist during Biblical times, it is believed that mothers pacified their infants with similar contrivances made probably from lambs wool, leather pieces, or woven cloth.
