I would like to share a little bit of my love for art.
I began my art journey in my early teens. I enjoyed drawing portraits of people I would find in magazines and articles.
In my 20's, I painted portraits of my friends' babies and would gift it to them in beautiful glass frames.
As I grew older, I changed mediums and dabbled with watercolors as a form of relaxation, taking several watercolor painting courses.
I also studied Cosmetology and learned to cut and color hair, which has been helpful when rooting my dolls as well as selecting complimentary mohair color.
I entered the reborn world in November of 2019, inspired by my mama, Elena Vazquez of Elena's Little Angels, and I fell in love with this form of art.
I created my Facebook Nursery page in the same year, and have since received an Authentic Artist Badge, and a Certificate of Completion for silicone painting from Rebecca Cunningham of Reborn to be Wild.
To further my education, I enrolled in a sculpting Masterclass with Carolyn Doughty of Silicone Magic to perfect my sculpting skills, and to learn to mould and cast my own silicone dolls.
I am also a stay-at-home mom of two young boys that I homeschool and who are with me all day, one of which is special needs and needs a little extra care and attention.
For this reason, I can only reborn part time throughout the week (mostly evenings) and Saturdays.
My phone is usually set aside during off hours.
Messages sent to me outside of business hours are usually answered during business hours. I do appreciate your patience in this regard?
My art is not only a hobby, it is now my registered business!
I am the sole proprietor of Beautiful Babies By Betsy LLC, and the only administrator of all of the social media platforms where I post my dolls.
With so many scammer sites out there, my goal is for my customers to feel at ease when they purchase an authentic doll from me, so I meticulously prepare assembly videos, photo albums videos and box packing videos for all of my dolls that can be viewed on my YouTube channel. All of the dolls I reborn are authentic doll kits purchased from Macphersons, TruBorns, Dolls by Sandie and Irresistables, from the sculptors themselves, or sculpted by myself.
I DO NOT AND WILL NOT EVER PURCHASE, SELL OR REBORN A COUNTERFEIT DOLL KIT!
I have put a lot of love and hard work into my dolls and spend countless hours sculpting, molding and casting, painting, rooting, shopping for baby items, and preparing photo shoots and videos for each doll, as well as personally maintaining all of the social media platforms I use to promote my work.
Therefore, my prices reflect the time and effort I have invested in each doll.
I do not trade my work for other dolls. I am proud of my creations and I sell every doll at a price I deem reasonable for the work I have invested in each of them :)
