Meet newborn Sparrow! He was born in the evening of July 18th, 2021. He weighs 5 pounds 2 ounces and is 18 inches long. I created Sparrow from the Limited Edition "DeShawn" kit sculpted by Jorja Pigott. He is # 238 of 600 Worldwide. Sparrow is an art doll that took many hours to create, he has realistic life like looking skin that I painted with many layers of genesis heat set paints, with layers including foundation, veins, mottling, other various details, color washes, eye brows. flesh layers etc. I applied on a final matte varnish layer and baked several times to make sure it is cured. Sparrow has directionally rooted premium Slumberland wavy/curly mohair and rooted upper and lower long dark lashes and dark brown glass eyes, his eyes were handcrafted in Lauscha, Germany and are solid flat back. He has a cloth body with full arms and full legs. His limbs are weighted with fine glass beads and polyfil and then sealed. His body is weighted and stuffed with fine glass bead sacks and polyfil. His head is weighted with a fine glass bead sack and polyfil and then sealed. His head also has a strong magnet glued behind his lips inside his head for his magnetic pacifier that I made for him. Due to the magnet in his head please use caution around ICD devices, pacemakers and other devices similar. He also came with a full front (non gendered) belly plate that I painted the same as his limbs and head to match. His belly plate formed a few cracks on the bottom inside during the last few bakes. I repaired them with E6000 glue and a piece of felt on the inside of the plate, the rest of Sparrow is fine but if using the belly for photo's you can easily hide the cracks with the diaper. Sparrow will come with his favorite dinosaur stuffed toy, two dinosaur onesies, camo onesie, dinosaur pajama, 2 pairs of socks, Dinosaur blanket, full front belly plate non gendered, magnetic pacifier, a few diapers, baby hair brush, numbered sculptor signed COA, birth certificate and info & care sheet.
