This is a unique doll and rarely seen sculpt. She is a bit of sentimental Reborn history.
Nina by Gudren Legler was reborned by April Yap in 2010. Her body is signed and dated by her artist who is now a prototype artist. The doll was owned by the late Laura from Littlexloves huge Reborn channel. Named Caylee, one of the videos roleplaying has over 6 million views.
I’m not sure how many homes this doll has been in since Laura’s passing about 5 years ago. I purchased her with several undisclosed issues but love her regardless. I repaired a cracked glass eye with two new full round german glass Lauscha eyes of the same color, restored her lip painting/glossing, installed new applied lashes and fixed spider web crackling in the matte varnish on her head.
From the time Laura had her, this doll had a bald spot on the back of her head, similar to a hair rub that some living babies get. Laura included it as such in her role play. The person who sold me the doll said she was made that way on purpose. I can see tiny pin prick holes in that area where it was once rooted so I know that is not true. Most likely the glue wasn’t completely dry when the weighting material was added inside the head so when someone went to reweigh the doll’s head and pulled the bag of glass beads out, all the hair roots that it was stuck to pulled out along with it. (creating the bald spot)
I bought hair to re-root and fill it in but then I decided that it was an interesting part of what makes this baby unique and special (since it shows in Laura’s videos). I will include the hair in case her future owner feels differently and wants her fully rooted once again.
The kit is sold as a 20” long doll but this particular one is measuring 22” with bent legs. She’s an older baby representing around 24” long if her legs were straight.
She wears 3 months or some brands of 3-6 months size clothing.

She has a mole type birth mark near her knee and a very well done port wine stain birth mark on her forehead that can be mostly hidden in her hair.
Milia on her nose and a stork bite on her forehead.
Mottling, veining, nail tips, some half moons on her toe nails, glossing in all the right places

Her matte varnish is in great shape. She has very pleasant skin texturing.
She has a pacifier magnet and a hair accessory magnet.
This open edition kit does not have a COA or an artist birth certificate. Her body is signed and dated by her artist. Her sculpt has a stamp of authenticity at the base of neck. (in the vinyl)
She is a fun addition to a Reborn enthusiast’s collection.
