Hand painted artistry achieved by using high quality professional artist grade lightfast archival paints, pure pigments, mediums and varnishes with Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers. I also apply an isolation coat prior to Matte varnish. This adds an additional layer of protection to the artistry.
Skya is painted in a lovely complexion with many fine details such as veins and capillaries. Her eyebrows are realistically painted bold and beautiful to compliment her hair perfectly. Natural looking nails have been painted on her tiny sweet toes. She truly is stunning.
Many meticulous hours were spent micro-rooting her hair; done directionally with Angela’s premium yearling mohair in both a darker and mid tone brown. She has two gorgeous swirls! One at the back of her crown and one in the front. Mono rooted hairs frame her face. Double sealed from the inside. Her eyelashes were delicately hand rooted in a brown Alpaca fleece. I use the finest gauge rooting needle available.
Custom made combination cuddle body with full cuddle arms, full vinyl legs. Realistically weighted with quality glass beads and filled with super soft down-like cluster stuff polyester fiber. Will never clump or bunch. I don’t over fill my art dolls so that they maintain somewhat of a “floppy” newborn feel. In my opinion, this creates a more realistic impression when held in your arms. She is so cuddly!
She is magnetized for a magnetic pacifier, and will be sent home with a Honeybug Vintage white/cream pacifier.
