Laylah was made from the limited edition Layla kit sculpted by Suzette du Plessis. She is number #188 of 1,000. She has a painted vinyl head with ¾ vinyl arms and ¾ vinyl legs with a cuddly cloth body. Laylah is 21 inches long and weighs about 6 pounds 4 ounces. She wears size 0-3 months clothes. Her pictures have been taken with and without a flash so you can see all her details. She may look shiny in some pictures, but that's just the flash.
Top to Toe
Laylah has been hand-painted by me with Genesis Heat Set Paints. She has a very dark ethnic skintone that is difficult to capture in pictures. She is stunning in person. She has rooted black lashes. There is a strong magnet behind her lips for a pacifier. Laylah's dark ethnic AA skintone was achieved by a sixteen layer process that includes, creasing and shading, undertones, subtle veining, mottling, blushing, and glossing. Her dark, doe suede body is jointed at the hips and shoulders. She also has a neck ring so her head can turn easily. Her body, head, and limbs have been realistically weighted with fine glass beads, then stuffed with polyfill. Her head will need to be supported, just like a real newborn.
