Please read carefully as this is a special offering. Offered in this listing is Baby Dominique as a cuddle baby. This means that Domonique has a painted vinyl head, but her limbs and body are cloth. This baby girl began has a head that I painted to practice a new hairstyle. Unfortunately I used the limbs for another kit, but she turned out too cute to just sit aside. She was painted with Genesis heat set paint and then varnished so she has a slight texture. She has mottling, blushing, crease detail, veining, and thin skin and shading details. She has a little red “bump” under one eye. Her hair is painted in medium brown. She also has barely there painted brows. She has rooted mohair lashes that are sealed inside. I have added gloss to lips and other areas that are typically moist.
I made her cuddle body from white flannel and added disc joints so her arms and legs pose- but as you can see I am not a seamstress. I did adapt this from a much more proportionate pattern than my last attempt and it is closer to what I want, but not perfect. Thus I have priced her so that you can enjoy her with her less than perfect body or replace it with a professionally made version. She is about 19 inches with curled legs and weighs around 4 pounds. She will fit newborn in most brands. The body has enclosed glass beads and poly-fil, the limbs poly-fill and poly-pellets, and the head is weighted with enclosed glass beads and poly-fil- it will need support just like a real infant. Domonique does have a strong magnet in place for a pacifier, so care should be taken around sensitive electronics such as pacemakers.
She will come with the sleeper you see her in, a diaper, a magnetic pacifier, flower tieback, and with birth certificate and care instructions. Please note that she is an art doll, not a child’s toy. She is neither intended for, nor safe for children.
