** Gena does have a flaw on her right hand. It does not show well in photos, but there is a paint scratch between her fingers. I attempted to fix without stripping, but it is still noticeable. It is a small flaw and she has been discounted accordingly.
Gena is a sweet little sleeper reborn from the sculpt by Michelle Fagan.
Gena's skintones were achieved by painting many thin layers of Genesis heat-set paints. He has some of the cutest storkbites! All of his cute little fingers, toes, and sweet spots have been lovingly blushed.
Gena features a head of hair that was achieved using both Prisma pencils and Genesis paints. Her hair was created in many overlapping layers to create depth and realism. Her hair has been varnished with a special medium that allows a hair texture to be built on top of the painted hair for a 3D effect you can see and feel.
Gena weighs approximately 5lbs and is 20 in long. She feels much heavier than she is. She was weighted using high quality fine glass beads contained in a secure pouch inside the body - no loose material. Each of her limbs is weighted evenly. She is assembled to have a newborn feel and his head must be supported like a real baby's.
The utmost attention was paid to Gena's details: moisture glistens on his sweetly parted lips, his finger- and toenails have been realistically shaded, tipped, and satin glossed. There is even a bit of moisture around the nostrils. Gena does have rooted eyelashes that are double sealed on the inside.
