Ruthie is reborn from Tasha Edenholm's Paige sculpt. She is done using air dry paints rather than GHSP all my other reborns are done with. (See note below for a more indepth explaination). She is given veins, flesh tones, blushing, mottling, eyebrows and painted hair. She also has white tipped nails. She has 3/4 limbs with a jointed doe suede body. Ruthie is weighted evenly throughout her body, limbs and head with glass beads and polyfil. She has a magnet in her head to hold her magnetic pacifier that comes with her. She will also come with all the clothes in pictures, teddy bear and blanket. She will also come with a birth certificate and care instructions. NOTE: I have used both Air Dry Paints with a sealer as well as GHSP in my reborning. However, even though they are both permanent and the finished product seem pretty much the same (other than the colors and shades) I decided to stay with GHSP because the curing is so much faster. GHSP costs more due to having to use the oven to bake and cure the paint. That process also makes the painting time take longer, but air dry painting takes 2 to 3 weeks to cure. I want to make sure the paint sets well. So the extra work and extra cost is worth not having to wait 2 to 3 weeks before I can move on to the next step of the reborning process. Both air dry paints and heat set paints are reliable for reborning. It's just a matter of what the artist likes best. If you would like to know my painting process you can find this on my website. It is found on my 'My Reborns' page.
