Look who has joined the nursery this evening! It's the sweet, wonderful Juana!!!🥰 She is the SOLD-OUT Juan kit from Bountiful Baby and sculpted by the talented Donna RuBert. She is such a chunky baby!!! She is a big girl at about 30", but her jointed limbs make her very easy and fun to pose. I used a German White Flannel Body from MacPherson Crafts for her body.
Juana has been brought to life with many layers of Acrylic paint and sealed twice with soft-touch, matte varnish. I have painted her with many details including soft veining and mottling, small capillaries, a baby scratch on her thigh and a mosquito bite on her leg, tipped fingernails and toenails, and a bit of "moisture" added to her lips, ears, nostrils, and corners of her eyes. She has big, beautiful acrylic brown eyes, painted eyebrows, rooted eyelashes, and painted bottom lashes. Juana has beautiful dark brown hair with a hint of burgundy highlights. It is a synthetic wig that I modified to fit her head and it has been glued on. It is silky smooth and very easy to brush and style! Care must still be taken with it, though, as you can not use heat to style it.
I have added both glass beads and poly pellets to her limbs as she is a very big girl. Her head is only filled with Polyfil so that she can be posed sitting up.

Juana will be sent home in the beautiful dress, headband, and hair bow in the photos plus two more outfits, a modified pacifier, 2 diapers, and a baby-scented wafer placed in her diaper. She wears a size 4/5 diaper and 18-24 month clothing depending on the brand. She will also be wrapped in a blanket along with care info. and a birth certificate.
