This gorgeous reborn is the Meadow kit by Andrea Arcello. She has been lovingly brought to life by me (Zoë Johnston) using both Genesis and BC heat set paints.
Her skin has been built up through many fine layers in my own style, and features the kinds of small blemishes, scratches, veining and mottling typical of a real little baby. She is a beautiful pale skinned reborn with stunning honey and auburn coloured hair which I imported from Poland (it was the softest and finest quality alpaca hair I could find at the time!). The hair is directionally micro and mono rooted with a lovely swirl at the back and the option to either swoop to the side or brush flat at the front. It is firmly glued from the inside (as with the delicate rooted eyelashes).
Her eyes are made of high quality glass and are a lovely, calming green colour. She is also fitted to take a magnetic dummy/pacifier (please be careful of pacemakers and other electronic devices).
She is appropriately weighted with fine ground glass beads and clean fluffy polyester so that her head flops back and her arms splay open when she is held. She is quite chunky in that lovely well-fed baby kind of way! She also has the most soft, tender, heart-meltingly sweet face. I love the way her expression changes depending on how you pose her and what angle you photograph her from: sometimes she appears to be listening intently to someone speaking, and at others she looks as if she could collapse into a deep nap state at any moment!
