This listing is for big chubby Charlotte at 11 months sculpted by Laura Lee Eagles. She is part of the original numbered first edition of 1,000 kits and her body was signed by Laura. She is a precious with her pouty look, but is a bit of a boo boo baby, so please read her description and look at pictures carefully.
Charlotte has the perfect expression for big dark eyes, fair skin, and rosy cheeks. This look is so often seen in portraits of Victorian children which was my inspiration for Charlotte. I did take her picture at different times of the day, so there will be some subtle differences in skin tone. Charlotte is fair, but has thin skin shading, veining, painted nail tips, and details to give her a lifelike appearance. She has been varnished to protect her paint with a varnish that leaves her skin soft and velvety. In places typically moist I used a satin varnish to create subtle shine.
Charlotte has hazel brown. Her lashes are applied on top and painted on the bottom. Her hair and brows are painted in medium brown. She has full vinyl limbs, that turn for posing. She is about 25” and around 7.8 pounds. I prefer this lighter weight as she can be posed better. She is weighted with glass beads (enclosed) and poly-fill in a way that she can hold her head up and sit since she is an older awake baby. I have fitted her with a magnet so she can take a pacifier. Please be careful, this magnet should not be near sensitive electronic medical devices like a pacemaker.
Her boos are- some of her toe tips did not take paint as evenly as it should. This does not stand out, but I was able to get a picture that shows this. In person, it looks like natural variation, but was not intended. Also, there was a small bubble inside near her left eye socket which means that eye does not sit exactly the same as the right one. Again, not really obvious, but still needs to be mentioned and I adjusted the price.
She wears size 9-12 months in most brands- basically if it is closer to the 12 months it fits better. She will come securely wrapped, but per buyer's request will not come with any clothing, pacifier, or accessories. Price is adjusted to reflect this.
