This listing is for adorable Laura sculpted by Bonnie Brown. She is about 20 inches with bent legs and around 5 pounds. Laura has full vinyl limbs and a cloth body. She was weighted with fine glass beads and poly-fil. She is a little floppy and her head will need support just like a real baby.
Her painting was done with Genesis heat set paint and she has fair mottled skin, painted light/medium brown hair and brows, and rooted mohair lashes. I did take pictures at different times of the day so you will see some variation in skin tone in my pictures. I have added a gloss where she would typically have some moisture. She was varnished with a blend of satin and matte varnish to protect her paint, so you do feel a slightly rough texture in some areas. There were a few marks in the vinyl that did not wash away when the vinyl was prepped. I turned these into little blemishes. They are at the back of the leg and look realistic, even if unintended .Please see the picture.
I have fitted her with a magnet so she can take a pacifier. Please be careful, this magnet should not be near sensitive electronic medical devices like a pacemaker.
She is a very nice size and fits many brands in newborn or 0-3 months. However, her bent legs can make some sleepers that snap in those sizes gap in front, so I used a 3 months size that runs small and this is a nice fit. She will come with the little sleeper, a beautiful winter dress from the South African brand Baby Naartjie (which I loved and stashed classics when they closed), a blanket, diaper, magnetic pacifier, certificate of authenticity, care instructions, and headbands.
