My Name is Denise Marchetti.
We are a smoke free/pet free home .
I love crafting!
I always have loved dolls as well. I was first introduced to
reborning by my daughter in May of 2005 when she made me the
first reborn I ever saw. I was so fascinated and intrigued.
Well I knew this was the perfect art for me.
I started out with play dolls as that was all that was
available at the time. Then came the introductions of the
wonderful kits to create these life like baby dolls...I
first tackled the hair and practiced the swirl on the crowns
on the baby's head and then I studied more about the
painting techniques and took some on line classes with Kelly
Lynn Smith and Lara Antonucci. I continue to read and study
all the time to add more life like aspect to each baby I
I also knit for these darling babies...I have been knitting
for over 40 years.
I love making Baby clothes.
I also crochet some items. I do sew, scrapbook, cross
stitch, and needle point.
Where my long Nursery name came from: I had been making
numerous items and selling them under the business name of
Hand"D"Creations (handycreations) So many people commented
the item I was making were so handy. The "D" stand for
Denise and since I make all the items often creating my own
modifications and patterns, that is where creations come
into play. Once I started making reborns I decided
Darling's by Denise would be a good nursery name...well
there are a lot of other ladies in the doll community who
named Denise ( surprised me how popular my name was and that
we are love dolls)
so I added the Hand"D"Creations so it would be unique to me.
Thanks so much for reading all about me!
Be sure to contact me and let me know a bit about you!
Would love to hear from you!
