Dee Dee is a delightful baby hand painted from the Tavie kit by Melody Hess. With her bright blue eyes and sandy caramel hair, she's a genuine charmer!
Dee Dee has been created using air dry acrylics (Reborn FX) and Prismacolor pencil. Her hair and brows are carefully drawn on. Dee Dee has multiple coats of sealer and matt varnish to ensure she stays in good condition, with careful handling by adults only. Her nails are tipped and glossed, her pretty eyes are acrylic, and her lashes are applied. She is modified to take a magnetic pacifier (included), and given the shape of her partly open mouth and pouty lips, it lies low on her mouth. The skin is textured. Dee Dee has a small light brown birthmark on the front of one of her ankles. She has a tiny white spot on her left hand (see close up photo). This sweet girl is the work of a sophomore artist with just over a year and 40 completed Reborns under her belt. She is priced accordingly, as she is not guaranteed as a "high end" reborn. She is very lovely, though, and made with skill. Minor imperfections are to be expected.
Darling Dee Dee takes some newborn (a real snug fit -- outfits shown in pics are newborn size) and 0 to 3 month size clothes. She is a little chunk at 20" and 5,25 pounds (feels heavier because she is weighted throughout with fine glass beads). Her stuffing is plush soft fill and because I like my babies pretty firm in the torso, she's well padded inside. This girl is a fantastic one to hold and relax with. I know because I gave her a test cuddle in my rocking chair!
Your baby will arrive with her two outfits, two diapers, a pacifier, a plush toy, a kit Cetificate of Authenticity and a flannel receiving blanket. I pack very well for a safe delivery. Signature on your insured package will be required on delivery. I ship out on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, no exceptions.
