Nino was created from the limited edition Nino kit by the talented sculpter Vincenzina Care. This kit is time limited and only open for one year and after no more kits will be made. Nino will come home with his certificate of authenticity. This kit is the very first dwarf kit ever made. He portrays a baby with achondroplasia dwarfism. He has short arms, short legs, an enlarged head and a normal size torso. He has been one of my favorite kits to paint and I have just loved working on him. He weighs 6 pounds 3 ounces. Layers and layers of Premium Airdry Ultimate Fusion paint was used to create this amazing living skin tone and sealed at each level for protection. Not a crease was over looked. Nino's limbs are filled with glass beads, poly pellets and fresh fiberfill. The body and head are filled with the the same mixture. He has a pretty big head and I have weighted it to be a little heavy. Babies with this form of dwarfism usually have low muscle tone so their heads need lots of support. No sand is used in my babies so they are safe to travel to other countries. His finger nails and toe nails have been given that fresh clipped look and sealed to prevet chipping.. His lips have been glossed to give a natural moist look. His veins have been applied to appear under the skin for ultimate realism . Nino has baby powder scented wafers in his body for that wonderful fresh scent that all new mommies love. I have chosen to leave this little cutie bald so I did more prominent veins and heavier mottling on his head but his head was just too big and beautiful to root hair on. His eyebrows were hand painted on one lash at a time. His eyelashes I have hand rooted. .All of my pictures were taken in natural daylight and none of my pictures have been altered other than cropping so you can see what baby actually looks like. If this little sweetie has stolen your heart don't let him get away because this sweetie is a one of a kind work of art and there will never be another one exactly like him. Nino will come home with only the items listed here and any items in pictures not listed here were used as my photo props and not part of the auction.. Nino will come home with his three piece dinosour outfit with the striped pants with a tail, dino onesie shirt and matching hat. . Nino will come home with his three two piece outfit with the onesie with bowtie and suspenders, matching blue pants and brown shoes. He will come home with his white socks, his white burts bees white t shirt , his dinosaur cloth diaper and his dinosaur sun hat. . Nino will have his three piece carters set with the yellow and white striped shirt, blue shorts and dinosaur button down dress shirt. He will have his yellow shoe socks and his dinosaur modified pacifier . Nino will also have his dinosaur blanket, his certificate of authenticity ,a birth certificate , and a care instruction sheet. I believe in supporting my local second hand shops so all items may not be brand new but all were picked out just for him.
