It is my pleasure to introduce Baby Romy to you! Romy is a sculpt by Gudrun Legler. I am a new reborn artist who painted this reborn. I may be new to reborn art but have quickly found a passion in creating these life-like dolls. I do not own any reborns done by other artists to compare mine to. Please ask any questions you may have before purchasing to be sure this is the reborn for you.
Sizing~
Newborn size clothing Approximately 19" long Approximately 6 lbs. Full length limbs Cloth body
Skin Tones~
Many thin layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints have been individually heat set for each layer to build up a realistic baby toned skin with peachy undertones and veining. Slightly blue undertones where the skin appears to be naturally thinner are also present. Creases have been highlighted and shaded. Romy has tiny milk spots on the nose. Fine details were added to nails on both the fingers and toes. The skin has been textured and sealed with my own combination of Genesis Heat Set Mediums to give the skin a matte finish. While the body has a matte varnish, the bottoms of the hands and feet have a satin varnish.
Hair~
The hair, lashes and eyebrows are hand rooted with quality mohair in a brown hue and sealed from the inside so it can be gently styled with warm water spritzed onto a soft bristle baby brush.
Weighing & Filling~
Romy has a tan non-jointed body filled with a combination of premium glass beads and fiber fill to give a realistic weight and feel. A silicone internal belly plate is present to give a slight squishy feel to the torso.
The limbs have been appropriately balanced and weighted with micro fine premium glass beads and topped with fiber fill
The head is weighted with premium glass beads and surrounded with fiber fill. The head will need to be supported, just like a real baby.
On the inside of Romy's mouth is a magnet fitted to hold the pacifier in place. Be aware of this when this doll is around those with pacemakers
Romy will come home with: •A small box opening. Message me if you prefer Romy to be dressed as a boy. Otherwise, a girl themed box opening is what you will receive.
