Peachtree Nursery welcomes adorable Maddie Brown. Maddie is a spunky big baby sculpt by the talented Bonnie Brown.
Maddie's skintone was achieved by painting many thin layers of Genesis heat-set paints. She has a mottled infant complexion that has been double sealed with a velvet-touch varnish. All of her cute little fingers, toes, and sweet spots have been lovingly blushed.
Maddie also has the finest gray-green, handmade German glass eyes from Lauscha, Germany. They have such a depth and realism to them. I tried several pairs of eyes before I decided that this was the perfect pair.
Maddie features a head full of incredibly soft microrooted alpaca fiber in a gorgeous multi-hued dark brown. Her hair is rooted in a natural growth pattern and double sealed to prevent loss from gentle brushing/combing. She will come with a soft toothbrush to help style her hair. Her hair can be carefully brushed flat or curled using water. Nothing feels as close to the texture of real baby hair as alpaca. It even dances in the breeze.
Maddie weighs approximately 9.5 lbs and is approx 24 in long. She was weighted using high quality fine glass beads. Each of her limbs is weighted evenly. Her head is unweighted to allow her to sit up, but it can be weighted for a younger baby feel if desired.
The utmost attention was paid to Maddie's details: moisture glistens on her eyelids, on her little nose and on her sweetly smiling lips. Maddie's finger and toenails have been realistically shaded and satin glossed. Maddie arrives snugly wrapped and securely packed with both a day and a nightime outfit.
