This is Lavender the Realborn Thomas sculpt created using 3D imagery of an actual newborn baby. Lavender is a 3/4-full limbed vinyl doll (arms are 3/4) with a soft cloth body that is generously weighted with crushed glass for a newborn realism. Lavender is tiny, preemie sized and is in a 15-17in body.
Lavender has light brown hair that has been painted in several layers and shades. She is top rooted with soft mohair for added softness. It is sealed and can be combed. I do not micro root but I do directionally root and this hair is done sparsely for affect. I used a 42 gauge needle so one or two hairs go in at a time, Eyelashes are rooted in the same mohair.
Lavender has a soft complexion with undertones of violet and gold. She has a medium to fair complexion but please not that I paint deeply.
This baby is beautifully painted and has striking acrylic eyes. She is a really pretty baby.
Real Reborns are crafted one at a time by a reborn artist. What makes these babies amazing and different from a store bought (mass manufactured) doll is that each one is unique and has perfect imperfections. (If a baby does have imperfections that were not intentional the price will reflect that, if I feel it is something that may need to be disclosed we will do that in our description). The goal is for every baby to be unique in its own way, no other baby will be exactly like it.
Saint Cloud babies are vinyl with a soft cloth body that is weighted with glass beads. I do not weigh each baby, they are filled to be as realistic as possible. If this is meant to be a therapy doll let me know so I can make the baby lighter for you. The sculpts I use are crafted by artists and purchased from a reputable dealer.
Photography is done in my studio with natural lighting available at the time, if natural light is not available due to weather conditions I will use artificial filtered light. I do my best not to alter photos, I want you to be able to see what I see. I try to keep photography as honest as we can. I do one photoshoot before I store babies (they are kept protected in a sealed container until they are shipped home).

Babies will come home dressed in pajamas and wrapped in a soft blanket. They will also arrive with a coming home outfit that may or may not be the clothes they were photographed in. I do photograph with some vintage prop clothing from time to time and that will stay in the nursery but the baby will come home in something sweet and well made.
My babies are magnetized with a strong earth magnet, if you have a pacemaker or are dependent on a medical device please let me know so I can remove the magnet.

Make sure this is the baby you really want before you order. I apologize but I DO NOT do customs (at this time), lay-away, hold babies, swap or exchange babies or do trades, we just do not have the bookkeeping to manage that at this time.
From time to time I will lend or rent a baby to a studio, film or TV company. When the baby is returned I will give it a baby spa to freshen them up (they are always returned in perfect condition (that is the agreement). If this is the case I will disclose that and I will adjust the price to reflect that. I can no disclose the movie or film it was used in as I do sign an NDA.
I no longer sell elaborate box opening packages. I find that a lot of new mommies like to shop and nest for things they love. I would also rather spend my time painting babies than shopping for them, I think its a very personal and helps bonding. Saint Cloud does deliver a lovely box suitable for gift giving.
My babies are double checked and photographed at packing, before they go to post to be sure they are complete, undamaged, carefully wrapped and ready for you to love.
All babies are made at Saint Cloud Nursery in a smoke and animal free studio in California.
(I do have a dog in my home but I do not keep any pets in my studio and my studio is separate from my living space)
