Matteo is a precious little peanut who was created from the Dana sculpt by Anneke Doeven. He is an older sculpt from 2008, but he's just as cute now as he was then. His vinyl is lightly scented. It's in the vinyl and cannot be removed. It's not unpleasant, I rather like it, but I want you to be aware if you are scent sensitive. I think it's a little bit like vanilla. He is NOT A TOY, but a unique, collectible piece of 3-D art intended for adults. HE DOES NOT MEET CHILD SAFETY STANDARDS and should not be given to children under 12. He is Limited Edition# 112 of only 250 worldwide. Matteo weighs 2 pounds, 14 ounces and is 17 inches long. He has 3/4 vinyl limbs and a cloth body made especially for him. He has been painted in many ultra thin layers of professional acrylic paints to give him realistic skin tones. He has many newborn details-light mottling, a stork bite on his forehead, veins, capillaries on his ears and tiny finger and toe nails. He has been weighted with encapsulated fine glass beads surrounded by polyfil to give him a real baby feel. He is floppy and his head and body need to be supported just like an actual infant's. Premium mohair was used to root his hair and eyelashes. They have been secured from the inside with a waterproof sealer. His hair can be dampened and gently styled. He wears preemie size clothes. Matteo will come home wrapped in a soft blanket with the 2 outfits shown in the pictures, magnetic pacifier, COA, birth certificate, care instructions and some little extras.
