My reborn has been created to last for generations with proper care. Owen has been created from a first quality kit, not a second. Layette will include a certificate of authenticity. Without the COA the kit may be a second quality kit. No obvious props will be included. The round cocoon is not included. If you have any questions about what is included please contact me. I have painted my reborn baby doll using only Genesis heat set paints. This is the only type of paint I use on my reborns because of the durability and very translucent realistic skin tones I can achieve. The paint actually bonds with the vinyl and will withstand the test of time. Owen is 19 inches approximately and weighs a very lightweight four pounds - and a couple of ounces. Owen was given a very blotchy newborn skin tone. He has wonderful blushes, accentuated creases, subtle veining, and soft undertones where baby would normally have thinner skin. The doll is finished up with a permanent matte varnish. The nostrils on Owen were shaded for added realism. The eyelids, mouth and inner ears were giving a moist varnish. I gave baby many extra details such as little capillaries on the eyelids and tiny broken capillaries on cheeks and ears. . I will include the certificate of authenticity.
Owen has a cloth body with full limbs. The body is the one Bountiful Baby recommends and I used the better quality one. The limbs can be posed very nicely.. He feels so realistic when held in your arms. Lots of sweet movement and very huggable. I use only non-toxic materials for weighting and stuffing my dolls. I use fine glass beads to weight the limbs and secure the caps to prevent any leakage. I used plastic poly pellets to weight Owen's torso. With his full limbs he can wear a large variety of clothing. The pellets for his torso are enclosed in a sock rather than a nylon stocking. I do not use any nylon stockings to weight the doll as a want to prevent any chance of tears causing the pellets to leak out.
I have opted to give little my little prince a gorgeous head of very quality rooted mohair. I've used different textures and shades to build up a realistic head of hair. I've used Slumberland mohair and love the end results. I've painted tiny baby hairs around the temple and hairline. I root with a heavy hand meaning I gave this doll a very thick head of hair. I have worked on this doll hair for countless hours. I've used a fine needle which picked up the fewest hairs at a time. The hair does not snarl up but you will still have to carefully comb the hair when handling and changing clothing. The mohair can be styled with a swirly crown. The hair can be spiked up on the top mop or combed down. Fun to style and comb. I include a care sheet for caring for a reborn doll with rooted hair. While the hair is thick the baby's scalp can still be seen through the hair. I gave Owen rooted baby eyelashes with a premium quality mohair. The lashes are securely glued but I always recommend using care when pulling clothing over the face. I just did a restyle combing on Owen. I love the way his hair turned out.
I did opt to give Owen a magnetic pacifier. Please use care around any electrical equipment or persons sensitive to a strong magnet. Also, be aware that my doll is not meant in any way to be a play toy for a small child. Also, if you have any chewing pets please keep the doll away from them as the limbs contain find glass beads. (

Owen will wear newborn size baby clothing very nicely. I will start Owen off with an adorable layette of the clothing he is seen wearing in the pictures. The tummy plate is a anatomically correct and was painted the same as the doll itself. I send along a care sheet with my personal recommendations for keeping baby is pristine condition. I create a custom certificate of adoption with the name of the adopting parent and baby's name. If you want to choose a different name for Owen please advise me with your payment. Also, don't forget the name of the adopting parent. Layette will all clothing baby is wearing , a receiving blanket and extra diapers. No other obvious props or items will be included. He would be a blessing to own and shop for. I will include an anatomically correct little boy tummy plate.. It is to be used for posing. I advise to not leave on for a long time or poke holes in it and tie around torso.
