Caleb is an adorable micro preemie sculpted by Heather Boneham.
Caleb's skintones were achieved by painting many thin layers of Genesis heat-set paints. He has the most gorgeously soft sating finish for that preemie shine! All of his cute little fingers, toes, and sweet spots have been lovingly blushed. Caleb's painting reflects that of a 28-32 week premature baby.
Caleb features a combination of painted and rooted hair. His hair is sparsely rooted on the top of his head to give him a little more character. It has been double sealed on the inside for secure attachment and can be gently styled with a toothbrush and water. His hair has the ability to be styled with gentle curls, but they may not stay.
Caleb weighs approximately 2lbs and is 14 in long. He feels as delicate as a real preemie. He was weighted using high quality fine glass beads contained in a secure pouch inside the body - no loose material. Each of his limbs is weighted evenly. He is assembled to have a newborn feel and his head must be supported like a real baby's.
The utmost attention was paid to Caleb's details: moisture glistens on his sweet little lips, his finger- and toenails have been realistically shaded and satin glossed. There is even a bit of moisture around the nostrils. Caleb also has a 3 dimensional varnish effect applied to the painted portion of his hair to provide texture and shine.
Caleb arrives in a luxuriously soft muslin receiving blanket of my choice and an adorable onesie. You may specify if you would like her to arrive as a girl or a boy, but there will be an extra fee for wardrobe changes as clothing in his size is difficult to come by. A pacifier must also be specially ordered for him as a regular preemie pacifier is still much too large.
