Sweet Matthew was made with meticulous attention to details, including precisely painted features requiring many thin layers of air dry paint for depth and realism, hand rooted hair and eyelashes, even tiny toenails and fingernails. This 20 inch newborn weighs 4 lbs., 8 oz. His 3/4 length arms and full length legs are attached to a cloth body weighted so he cuddles cozily into your arms. He wears newborn size baby clothes and diapers. His head contains one powerful magnet inside to hold his pacifier; this needs to be kept away from pacemakers or sensitive electronics, but can be removed at the buyer's request. He comes with his T shirt, outfit and cocoon shown in his photos, and sleeper, fluffy blanket, pacifier, hairbrush and conditioner, care instructions and certificates of authenticity and reborning. The doll you see in the pictures is the doll you will receive.
Matthew was sculpted by Jorja Pigott – in fact, she even signed his kit personally, although it is on the flange of his head inside his body making it a bit difficult to see. Matthew comes with his belly plate which was painted to match his other skin color. Belly plates are nice for photos, but are not designed to be on the baby all the time. Because they are vinyl, they are not flexible or cuddly.
