Baby Mackenzie was brought to life through the use of many different techniques. She was painted with dozens of layers of different shades and tones of Genesis Heat Set Paints. Each thin layer was dried by a heat gun, and then placed in the oven for official baking. This ensures no chipping or fading of paint, to last you many years of happiness. She was given delicate veining, blue undertones, capillaries, and texturing throughout her skin. Her skin tone is an uneven blotchy-ness just as a real baby would have. Her paint was sealed with "Dewy skin" and matte varnish. She has tiny milk bumps on her nose and surrounding areas.
Mackenzie was rooted in a 2 - toned hair. This gives the allusion of real hair as real hair is not all the same color. The hair is a high-quality, baby soft mohair from Zerga Studios in Poland. 1-2 hairs were strategically placed with each poke, to lay in the direction of a newborns natural hair pattern. A high-quality 46g European crown (3barb) Rooting Needle was used. This is the smallest and most fine needle on the market, ensuring 1-2 hairs per poke and making the smallest hole possible.

Baby Mackenzie has a soft doe-suede body sent to me from the kit supplier. She has FULL arms and FULL legs Making her fun to dress in outfits without legs or sleeves. Her limbs, head, and body have been weighted using micro fine/sand-like glass beads. The beads in the head and body have been contained by a stocking. She was then finished off by stuffing with poly-fil. Her limbs have been secured by cable ties. Mackenzie has a magnet in her head, as well as a magnetic pacifier. .
Mackenzie feels and moves just like a real newborn, and should be handled with care. She is not recommended for small children.
