I have reborned her with with Genesis Heat Set paints using many thin layers, sealed with Genesis Heat Set satin varnish. Her body is realistically weighted, is 5.6 pounds, head, body and limbs are weighted by quality fine glass beads and fine fiberfill. I filled her little body loosely so he is realistically floppy like a little baby. She has a neck ring so her little head can be turned easily. Her head needs to be supported such like a real baby’s head. Holding her is a real cuddly feeling, just like holding a real baby. She has creases and realistically painted finger and toe nails. Eyelashes and hair are hand rooted by high quality medium brown and chocolate brown Slumberland mohair which have all been sealed with a waterproof glue from the inside. The photos were taken in front of a window in day light. No flash light was used and none of the photos were manipulated in any way.
I use Genesis Heat Set paints and Satin warnish in order to give a lifelike look to the baby. I pay special attention to the nails as well This little girl will arrive home in the clothes seen on the photos, some surprise clothes, (all clothing item are brand new just recently purchased), a magnetic pacifier, reborn certificate, COA, care instructions and some extras (hairbrush, diapers etc). Penny wears size 0-3 month baby clothes. Penny can be gently cleaned with a soft damp cloth (do not submerge her in a bath full of water). Penny’s hair can be gently combed with a wide tooth comb or brushed and styled using a bit of baby conditioner mixed with water. Her hair is quality mohair so can be styled with water or mohair conditioner. Penny is a collector’s item, not suitable for children under 12. Special care should be taken by handling her. She has a strong magnet inside her head, so special care should be taken because high-powered neodymium magnets are not safe around individuals with hearing aids, pacemakers, or metal implants. Also avoid exposing the magnets to cell phones, tablets, computers or external hard drives as magnets may damage these devices. She is reborned in a pet friendly and smoke free environment.
