Sugar sculpt by Donna RuBert
By Rita from Grandma's Babies

20 inches (50.8 centimeters)

Sugar is a sculpt by Donna RuBert. She was painted with layers of Genesis heat set paints to give her depth and the coloring of a newborn. Her hair has been rooted and sealed from the inside so it can be spritzed with a little water and gently styled. Sugar is 20 inches long and weighs 4 lbs and 13 ozs. Her doe suede body has been weighted with tiny glass beads, poly pellets and soft, fluffy polyfil. Her limbs and head have been sealed so the stuffing mediums stay inside. Her head has been weighted so that it should be supported when she is being picked up. She has full legs and 3/4 arms.

She has been fitted with a strong magnet inside that allows her to use her pacifier.

Sugar should not be given to any children under age 7 and then only if the child can care for her properly. This is a handmade work of art. You are paying for the craftsmanship, materials and time used in her making. Handle her with care and she will last many years.

She will come home with the clothes she is pictured in, to include an undershirt and diaper, along with her pacifier. She wears size newborn.

I began reborning about 6 years ago after realizing that collecting reborns that others had made had become quite expensive. I was hooked after the first doll was completed. It is so exciting to see the individual personality of each reborn emerge as the creative process goes along. My dolls over the years have been given as gifts, sold, and happily given to a local nursing home as therapy dolls. The next step in this reborning process for me is a wide range marketing attempt. I hope you enjoy the dolls as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
