Up for "adoption" is my beautiful version of the open eyed realborn, Logan from Bountiful Baby. Logan has been painted only with Genesis Heat set paint. This paint never fades or flakes off and actually bonds to the vinyl.
I have been reborning these amazing kits for over seven years. I put all of my creative abilities into making them this beautiful. They are reborned to last when taken proper care of. I price my dolls very reasonably considering the time and quality I put into them.
This auction is only for the open eyed Logan. I will be listing the closed eyed version shortly.
I am extremely detailed when painting my dolls. Logan was given many transluscent layers of blushs, creases and wrinkles. I've made this baby a very newborn mottled skin tones. He has delicte painted eyebrows. The finger and toe nails were given a very subtle baby manicure look. I take my time with each and every doll I create to make them as realistic looking as possible.
I've chose to give this baby doll a very realistic looking head of painted hair. I use brushes with only the fewest bristles to get fine clear lines. Painted hair is perfect for someone who likes to put lots of caps and baby hats on. The hair is fuss free. The hair style has lots of swirls, a darling crown and soft baby hairs.
I gave this doll a high quality CLOTH body that is very well made. The limbs on Logan are full length allowing him to wear a larger variety of clothing. He is weighted to cuddle up and feel like a real baby in your arms. The head needs to be supported just like a real baby. The head and limbs can be moved which makes dressing baby easier.
Please do note that I've filled the poly pellets that weight the torso with a darker color sock (not a nylong stocking) that can be slightly seen through the material.
Logan has been weighted with only high quality items. Fine glass beads, plastic poly pellets and high quality fiber fill. The items are enclosed in a sock rather than s stocking to insure no leakage. The length on Logan is approximately 19 inches and the weight is around 5 pounds (maybe slightly heavier).
Logan was given a magnet behinds his mouth (securely glued in place with E6000 glue) to hold onto his magnetic binky. PLEASE USE CAUTION AROUND ANY EQUIPMENT OR PERSONS SENSITIVE TO A STRONG MAGNET).
Logan has beautiful acrylic eyes from Bountiful Baby (designed specifically for the reborns) and very subtle hand applied eyelashes. The lashes are securely glued into place but always be careful when pulling clothing over the doll's head.
My doll is not intended to be a playtoy for a small child and should be treated as a fine collectible.
PLEASE NOTE THAT EVEN THOUGH THE DOLL IS PORTRAYED AS A LITTLE BABY BOY I WOULD BE HAPPY TO CHANGE OUT THE CLOTHING FOR A BABY GIRL'S LAYETTE. THE CLOTHING WILL BE OF MY OWN CHOOSING BUT SURE TO BE ADORABLE. PLEASE ADVISE ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE THIS CHANGE AS THE VERY CLOSE OF THE SALE. I MAIL OUT MY DOLLS WITHIN A BUSINESS DAY OR TWO OF THE CLOSE OF THE SALE. I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE YOU WITH A GIRL'S LAYETTE IS THE PACKAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN MAILED OUT.
Baby's layette will include all of the clothing shown in the pictures included my signature hand crocheted cocoon with matching hat. The certificate of authenticity (please let me know if you would like me to fill out the date of birth/weight/length/artist and nursery name. I will include my own care sheet with advice on how to keep baby in pristine condition. I also include a custom certificate of adoption with your choice of the name, the name of the adoption parent and the date of adoption with the length and weight. Please advise me upon payment what information you would like on the documents.
No other items or props will be included. (I usually do put in an extra item or two).
I ship out within two business days of receipt of payment.
