Up for adoption from my nursery is this amazing little Angel from Bountiful Baby. The doll is a full vinyl doll with an anatomically correct torso. (THIS IS NOT A SILICON DOLL). The kit was sheer joy to reborn from the tip of her toes to her beautifully painted head of hair.
My baby dolls are not created to be a play toy for small children. Not recommended for children under the age of 13. The doll should be treated as a fine collectible. Please keep away from small children and chewing pets.
She is weighted with fine quality glass beads and plastic poly pellets. Baby weighs in at approximately 6 pounds so feels so realistic. The limbs are full which allows for a larger choice of clothing for baby. She wears newborn size perfectly. Because of the doll being a full vinyl she does not have to floppy feel that a cloth body with jointed limbs has. I feel that the beauty of the vinyl torso more than makes up for that. She is, after all, a doll.
I've used only genesis heat set paint on Angel. Coat after coat of transluscent colors and tones have been applied to make her look as realistic as can be. I wanted to give her a very mottled newborn look and I am so pleased with the results. She is blushed as sweetly as can be. The little toe and finger nails definitely were a challenge to paint but they did turn out so sweetly. Like she has a tiny baby manicure. The nails were finished with air dry gloss. She has tiny veining and capillaries on her eyelids and cheecks. Her precious little mouth (looks like she is trying to suck) took pink natural tones beautifully. I finished the mouth with glazing gel and a small amount of moisture on the sides. I put a tiny bit of moisture on the inner corners of the eyes.
Baby has very sublte and realistic painted veining.
I love painting hair onto my reborns, especially if I'm going for a more balding newborn look on my babes. I love the sparse look with the baby pink scalp showing through. It takes me many days and hours to achieve a lovely head of natural looking painted hair. Reborn artists have many different techniques when it comes to painted hair. For me a paint each and every hair separately. I use a very fine brush with only the fewest of bristles and build up layer after layer. I love the effect I achieve with my brush and allows me to create swirls and baby hairs around the forehead. I've also painted very realitic eyebrows on Angel. A painted hair will never get mussed up and is perfect for putting lots and lots of hairbands and precious baby hats.
The nostrils on Angel are very tiny, probably because of the way the mouth is posed to be sucking. I've done shading in the nostrils.
I found that Angel's mouth was super perfect for a magnetic pacifier. It fits her mouth perfectly. She has a strong magnetic behind her lips so hold onto the binky. PLEASE USE CAUT ION AROUND ANY EQUIPMENT OR PERSONS (i.e. pacemaker)
My dolls are created to be carefully treasured as a collectible. They are not suited for small children as a play toy. I don't recommend purchasing my baby doll for anyone under the age of 13.
Baby will arrive with the clothing she is seen wearing in the photos, plus an extra outfit of my own choosing. I am always generous when it comes to baby's layette.

Baby's layette will also include a custom Certificate of Adoption. I also include a care sheet with my suggestions for keeping baby in pristine condition.
Layette will exclude any props used in the photos.
Please let me know at the time of the sale what name you would like for the doll and the name of the new adopting parent. I normally put on the date of the sale as the date of adoption. If you would like a different date advise me at the time of the sale.
Angel is a very unique doll kit and I loved working with her. She takes my breath away when I hold her in my arms and look into that most adorable face. She will be a joy to own. If you are thinking about adopting this "Angel" you may want to start shopping now for her first Christmas outfit.
