These adorable twins are what neo-natal calls 'Micro-preemies'. This is what a baby looks likes, or similiar to, at about 23 weeks gestation. Though rare more and more babies are surviving being born as early as 23 weeks.
These micro-preemie twins are all vinyl. They are anatomically correct, one boy (Luke), one girl (Lily). Luke and Lily are made of a soft plyable vinyl, not silicone, that feels like a real baby. I reborn these precious twins using Genesis Heat Set Paints, curing in the oven after each of many layers. They have veining, baby flesh tones, blushing and mottling. Luke has painted hair (GHSP) and Lily has a very light rooing of mohair. They are lightly weighted to a realistic weight of an 11 inch micro preemie. I always use glass beads for weighting, never sand! All their little finger and toe nails are white tipped and sealed. Their noses are shaded for depth appearance. Luke and Lily will come home with their sleepers, home made nappy's, shirts, and magnetic pacifiers.
