Sleeping Kimberly was my first major boo boo and it was an expensive one. I had a custom order and my oven malfunctioned and melted the head! I had to order another one - not good! The buyer wanted her to be a boy and he actually turned out pretty nice as a boy. I made him 4.5 pounds. He has full arms and legs which I am not too fond of, but he is cute. He wears newborn and 0 - 3 months clothing.
I use only Genesis heat paints for painting and fine glass beads for weighting along with polyfil. I root the eye lashes on sleeping newborns, hand paint the eyebrows and add a touch of rooted hair to them as well. For awake babies I generally use eyelashes from Bountiful Baby but occasionally do root them.
