Emma is the "Juliet" kit by Marissa May. She was painted with Genesis Heat Set Paint. It took many layers of paint, and many hours to give Emma her lifelike appearance.
3D skin texture was added to her realistic appearance.
Emma also has rooted hair, from mohair that I processed myself.
There are tiny glass beads (NO sand!) in the arms and legs, as well as the head. Inside her belly she has a pouch of plastic poly pellets to give her weight and feel of a real baby. Because she is made to feel real, she must be handled with care. Support her head, and her body, don't lift her by the arms or legs.
Emma's body has been signed by me, the reborn artist, Tanya de Bruijn.
Emma will be coming home with:
Brown hair bow
Black and pink dress
1 pair of socks
Blanket with butterfly
Cloth diaper (made by me!)- The outside of the diaper is 100% cotton, the inside is soft minky and has velcro closures.
Anything NOT mentioned is just a prop.
Emma wears newborn size clothing.
Emma comes from a smoke-free nursery.
Emma does NOT have any magnets inside. (She does have a metal washer in her mouth that will attach to a magnet but the washer itself is not magnetic.) I did this so that anyone could make their own pacifier. If they want one.
All pictures were taken by me in natural sunlight.
Collector doll, not recommended for children under 12. Can be VERY gently played with.
