Neeley is a full-body silicone and such a beautiful boy! Denae Culbreth sculpted his head, and Kathy Romero Biscuiti sculpted his body. His hands are life casts from a two-week-old baby. He measures 19 inches and weighs 7lb 12oz. He is cast in eco20/slacker soft blend and is so squishy! Please be sure to watch his video so that you can see his squishy movements.
His mouth has been opened, and he can take the preemie-sized pacifier I am sending. Care needs to be taken when using the pacifier to prevent tearing.
Neeley is just a gorgeous baby with a biracial skintone and dark brown hair. His hair is super soft, mohair that has been carefully micro-rooted and is soft to the touch. I used Go Baby mohair, which is high quality and does not get matted and tangled easily. It is my favorite brand of mohair! His eyelashes are rooted using the same hair.
Please note that I had a little trouble with the paint on one side of his back and underarm. That part is not as soft as the rest of him and has a different texture because of extra silicone layers I need to do to fix him. This is noticeable when you pick him up without any clothes on, but with a onesie on you can’t tell or feel it. His price does reflect this repair work and if you would like close up photos of the spot, please let me know and I will be happy to send.
Neeley was painted lovingly by me with Psycho Paint silicone, and Silc Pig pigments. He has been sealed and matted with Silicone Velvet Matte Powder for a beautiful finish and added durability.
He has soft armatures in his arms only, that make it easy to pose him for your adorable photos😊
Some things to remember when purchasing and caring for a silicone doll: -Hair is rooted very carefully and deeply but can’t be sealed like vinyl reborn doll’s hair. Be careful with brushing and putting hats or headbands on and off. I recommend using silk- lined hats that are very gentle on the hair. I will send a soft toothbrush and spray bottle that you can use to gently brush the hair. I use distilled water and a few drops of Biosilk for brushing, but regular water will work too!
-Silicone is not a perfect material, and small flaws can be expected. I do my very best to make sure every baby is absolute perfection, but I’m not a factory, of course, and these are handmade pieces of art that can have little imperfections here and there. My photographs are in the best lighting possible, but please ask me for more if you need closeups of any parts. I will be happy to do that, as all sales are final, and I want to ensure this is the best baby for you before sending him out.
-These babies are meant to be held, cuddled, and loved, which is all good and will not cause any damage. Silicone is actually quite strong and your baby should have many years of snuggle ahead of her. This being said Silicone Art Dolls are not meant for children and are normally not appropriate for ages under 12. Of course, there are always exceptions, and If your child is super careful and wants one with all their heart, then who am I to deny some dolly love? I would have lost my mind for a baby like this when I was little!
