Look who's awake in the nursery! Please welcome Gabriel. This is the " Vicente" kit by the wonderful new break out sculptor, Priscilla Lopes. Number 52 of 800 sold worldwide. Gabriel was hand painted using Genesis heat set paints. This paint is permanent. He has subtle mottling and veining throughout his limbs, blue and purple undertones where babies have thinner skin. I use my own combination of Genesis varnish to matte, seal and protect his painting and give him a slight texture. I have given Gabriel a lovely new baby skin tone. I paint only in natural daylight, apply many thin layers for a realistic 3D effect and never rush my work. I mix my own colors making Gabriel truly one of kind! Gabriel has painted eyebrows and rooted lashes. His sweet nose has been shaded to create depth and I have added the moisture affect to his eyelids, ears and nostrils. His lips have been lightly glossed. I have chosen Lauscha glass eyes for Gabriel in a stunning blue/grey color. I then lightly glossed them over for a natural moist look ~ so lifelike! Gabriel has a professionally made cloth body. It features non jointed full arms and full legs with a gathered tushy with a darted chest for the ultimate in realism when posing or holding sweet Gabriel. It is a lovely flesh color and will look seamless under clothes. Gabriel fits well into 0-3 and 2-4months sized clothing depending on the brand. His limbs and body are filled with a combination of 2 different size fine glass beads, soft fiberfill and a silicone tummy insert. He is weighted to feel like a real baby in your arms. He is scented to keep him smelling baby fresh. His sweet fingers and toes have been tipped and sealed. I have given Gabriel lovely, high quality yearling mohair in a medium brown color. It is directionally micro rooted, very soft, straight to slightly wavy and sealed from the inside so that it may be gently styled. Rooted hair really adds to the realism of your reborn!
Baby Gabriel is handmade, fragile and considered art, not a toy. He is meant to be displayed and observed. I do not recommend my babies for children under the age of 14. I have been creating reborn babies for years and have even been a prototype artist for top sculptors such as Toby Morgan, Tru Born Inc and Cassie Brace. Each baby made in my studio takes many hours of dedication to complete. I take pride in my art and care about my work. I use only quality materials and proven methods along with some of my own techniques. I am constantly working to improve with each baby made. The name Gabriel is a suggestion and may be changed by you at adoption.
