Avyanna/Progeria
Hello, and welcome to my most challenging and most rewarding little darling, Avyanna. I chose the name Avyanna because of what it represents: strong, powerful, beautiful.
This little angel was a heartfelt creation, long inspired by the children and families who have had to overcome the obstacles presented by the disease, Progeria. I have donated to the progeria research fund every month and will continue to do so, as it is a very deserving cause:)
Reborning is an amazing, wonderful journey for all of the artists involved, and many of us are inspired by the children in the world. The many documentaries I have seen highlighting the lives of these children have forever touched my soul.
Avyanna has over 30 layers of GHSP, allowing the realistic depth of her veining as well as her overall coloring. True to Progeria, she has no hair, eyebrows, or lashes, and her skin is somewhat translucent, reflecting the premature aging process resulting from the disease.
I wanted to paint her as realistically as possible, and I am very proud to have created Avyanna. I hope that Avyanna’s creation will make a small difference in the lives of the babies and children affected by Progeria.
Avyanna will be going home with her silver rattle, angel wings, handmade outfit, lamb, bottle, personalized blanket, and more, making for an especially beautiful box opening. Thank you so much for your time, and for visiting!
