Hello Dolly Pals. From my personal collection of dolls purchased as completed babies by other sculptors/artists, I present full body silicone “Alfie” by Carolyn Doughty with Our World of Chi. This exact baby was once owned by Emily in the UK. You might know her as Rebxorn and Rebxorn 2.0 on YouTube and as Rebxorn on Instagram. She had named him Nanook because he looks so much like a little Inuit/Eskimo baby. His name has remained the same ever since. 🥰 There are many videos of Nanook with Emily still on YouTube if you’d like to see.
Alfie is approx. 17 inches long from head to toe and weighs about 6.5 lbs. of chubby-tummy goodness.
He wears early newborn clothing but also looks very cute in many newborn size outfits as well.
Recently, I was fortunate to obtain another “Alfie” sculpt from a family of a lovely lady who’d passed away. In addition to that new one I also have another Alfie that I've had for a long time and I will love and cherish him and my new Alfie forever. I don’t absolutely “need” to have 3 Alfie’s in my collection, so this is the reason I’ve decided to sell him. He is adorable and oh-so-mooshy! So, if you like mooshy babies, this Alfie is for YOU!
He is not a toy and should never be handled by anyone under the age of 18. He must always be handled gently, supporting his head at all times just like a newborn baby.
Never pull on his fingers, toes, limbs or head while handling or changing his clothing. He is a very soft blend of silicone (my personal favorite) and may rip if you are not careful.
He will be coming home with a large, polar bear themed box opening. Not everything is pictured so there will be some element of surprise, especially if this is a gift for yourself. 😊
Everything will be wrapped and presented in a gift type fashion. I will be sending him home with a sample of Silicone Velvet Matting Powder and a soft powdering brush. (Not pictured)
***HOWEVER:*** If you are not interesting in receiving a polar bear themed box opening and would prefer to receive just the doll by itself, I will be happy to oblige and am willing to refund the s hipping fee promptly if you decide to receive him that way. Please let me know right away though because I usually start working on the box openings the same day they sell. 💕
Please study all photos and watch the video before making your purchase. Your purchase is your promise. Since he is a baby doll from my collection, I do not offer returns or a warranty. He will be purchased in “as-is”condition but I must say he is in pretty great shape. I ended up taking all of his photos in one place because to my eye, this light captures what he looks like in real life the most.
He is a treasure of art that isn’t perfect but in my eyes he is beautiful and I love him very much.
Insider information: The first edition of Alfie is my all time favorite sculpt as you probably guessed since I have 3. Shhh…. I actually have owned a total of 4. The very first one in his edition was also originally owned by Emily but he was poured in a firmer silicone and has since moved on to his new Mama.
