Mason is a realistically detailed, sleeping, Middle-Eastern inspired, newborn, sculpted by Pat Moulton. He has a soft vinyl head and a preemie-size, Pollywog cloth cuddle body with posable fingers.
He’s been painted with multiple transparent layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints. He has a beautifully textured, medium-dark, olive skin tone with veins, capillaries, blushing, mottling, baby acne, and newborn milia (milk spots). The baby’s eyes, ears, lips, and nose have been delicately glossed in just the right places. And his skin is sealed, for protection, with a satin-matte varnish mixture reflecting a soft newborn glow.
He has Prisma pencil-drawn dark brown eyebrows and wavy hair. His lashes have been rooted with dark brown, premium, Angora mohair.
Mason is weighted to feel like a real, preemie newborn. He is 2.2 lbs, 15 inches long, with a semi-floppy head, and wears modified preemie and some micro-preemie size clothing. He has been filled with fine glass beads, glass sand, and premium poly-fil. He can take a magnetic pacifier and has a silicone tummy insert for an added realistic squish.
