Hello and welcome to Dolls by Chris. I have enjoyed crafting all my life, and during the last 25 years my main hobby was decorative painting. I discovered reborn dolls a few years ago shopping for dolls for my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's. I bought a doll and loved this art form! So a new passion was born!
I was able to transfer many of my decorative painting techniques over to this new painting medium and by studying many tutorials, and with a lot of experimentation and practice, I am now able to offer gorgeous realistic art dolls to the discriminating collector.
I use professional grade air dry acrylic paints to reborn these beautiful vinyl dolls. Each doll is sealed to protect the paint. The doll is stuffed and perfectly weighted with premium poly-fill and tiny glass beads to feel like a real baby. I love every step in the creation of these babies! From preparing the kit, to the different stages of painting, to the photo shoot and finally mailing the baby to her new mommy! My love of babies, I have 5 children, is present in each of my doll creations!
