Jewls kit by Sandy Faber |
By Rita @Grandma's Babies
21 inches (53.3 centimeters)
Jewls is a 6lb, 21" baby from the sculpt by Sandy Faber. As the kit was ordered directly from Germany (Puppen-Traumland to be exact) she does not have a numbered COA. This kit was ordered before they were available in the US. She has an impish little smile that is sure to melt your heart. Her blue eyes sparkle. She has a strong magnet for her binkie and will come to her new home with all the clothes seen in the pics, her own fleece blankie with hand crocheted edges, and a toy. She has rooted dark brown hair that has been sealed from the inside which will allow you to spritz her hair with water or baby conditioner and gentle brush with a baby hair brush. Her skin is a little darker than "fair" and has been painted with many layers of Genesis heat set paints. She has been weighted with tiny glass beads and soft poly-fil. Her head must be supported when she is picked up. Her white suede body is stuffed with poly-fill and glass beads secured in a pouch. Her arms, legs and head opening have been sealed off to keep the stuffing from falling out.

I began reborning about 6 years ago after realizing that collecting reborns that others had made had become quite expensive. I was hooked after the first doll was completed. It is so exciting to see the individual personality of each reborn emerge as the creative process goes along. My dolls over the years have been given as gifts, sold, and happily given to a local nursing home as therapy dolls. The next step in this reborning process for me is a wide range marketing attempt. I hope you enjoy the dolls as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
