Xavi sculpt by Adrie |
By Grandma's Babies (Rita)
19 inches (48.2 centimeters)
Xavi, a limited edition kit (number 114 of 1200 kits) by Adrie Stoete is 19" and weights 5lbs and 12oz. He has 3/4 arms and full legs. His arms and legs are weighted with bitsy little glass beads and polyfil and they are sealed to keep the weighting medium inside. His doe suede body is stuffed with an enclosed bag of glass beads and enough polyfill to make him snuggle right into your heart. His head is weighted so that it needs to be supported when he is picked up. His complexion is a beautiful peaches and cream color that was achieved with many layers of Genesis heat set paints. His eyes are a deep blue newborn color and he has dark, rooted, straight hair. He also has a strong magnet to allow him to use an included pacifier. He is dressed in a diaper and undershirt along with a blue velour, footed snowsuit with a matching hat. Xavi comes with his own fleece blanket with a crocheted edge, a sleeper, and a toy.
This doll is not for play and is not suitable for young children. His hair can be spritzed with water and gently styled with a light touch. Regarding the care of Xavi, if you have questions get them answered before you purchase. He is a beautiful baby and will delight for years to come if he is well cared for.

I began reborning about 6 years ago after realizing that collecting reborns that others had made had become quite expensive. I was hooked after the first doll was completed. It is so exciting to see the individual personality of each reborn emerge as the creative process goes along. My dolls over the years have been given as gifts, sold, and happily given to a local nursing home as therapy dolls. The next step in this reborning process for me is a wide range marketing attempt. I hope you enjoy the dolls as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
