This absolutely precious little baby boy was reborned from the unique Harper kit from Bountiful Baby. It is sculpted by Donna RuBert and lovingly brought to the most amazing lifelike appearance by myself.
The doll has been painted using only genesis heat set paints. I have been working with these paints for years now and wouldn't use anything else. The paints bond with the vinyl and will not fade out or flake off.
I've given this baby doll a very mottled newborn complextion. Layer upon layer of transluscent blushes and skin tones were applied to get this amazing newborn look. I've paid extra attention to the little fat folds, creases and wrinkles on baby boy. He was given most subtle and realistic veining.
I've given this little boy a darling head of realistic looking painted hair. It takes me many hours to get this look of real hair on my babes. I use a paint brush with only the fewest of bristles to get a very fine baby hair. The doll's eyebrows are painted to match his hair. I love the look I get when I take my paint brushes in hand. I can get an adorable hair style with lots of fine baby hairs running onto the face. I've finished off babies precious head of hair with a coat of permanent matte varnish to accentuate real hairs. I love the look of slightly balding hair where you can see the baby's scalp, especially on a doll representative of a newborn. New mommy can put on lots of caps and baby hats and the style always stays neat and so sweet looking. The doll was given very wispy hand rooted eyelashes which are securely glued from within.
I've given this angel boy very natural looking finger and toenails with a fresh baby clipped look.
Please note that these pictures were taken mostly with a flash as I am in southern California and it has been very dark with the rain. The doll has a slightly fairer complexion than the pictures show but still is very mottled.
Harper has a full anatomically correct torso which wraps completely around the cloth body inside of the torso. The limbs attach directly to the cloth body itself. Baby's head turns very easily and also the legs. The arms do not move as easily as the legs but the baby doll poses adorable. Please be aware that because of the vinyl torso the doll is slightly less cuddley than a doll where the limbs attach only to the cloth body. This type of doll is my favorite as I love the absolutely realism of the little boy body itself. The torso has been reborned also with lots of angel kisses and stork bites. Also, I was able to weight the doll a very realistic 5 pounds and 12 ounces. The doll is 19 inches long and wears newborn size clothing. He will arrive with a darling layette and will be great fun to shop for.
Harper has been given a strong magnet behind his lips to hold onto his magnetic pacifiers. Please use care around any equipment or persons sensitive to such a strong magnet.
The doll has full length limbs. I use only high quality material in creating my babies. Weighted with plastic poly pellets, fine glass beads and high quality fiber-fill. The limbs contain fine glass to please do use caution if you any chewing pets.
Baby will arrive at his new home with all of the clothing he is seen wearing in the pictures. Two magnetic pacifiers. I include a custom certificate of adoption with a watermark of the doll's picture. Please let me know what name you want on the certificate and the name of the "adopting" new parent. I also include a care sheet with my recommendations.
