This stunning reborn baby doll has been created from the sold out limited edition, Serenity. It is a coveted kit from Laura Lee Eagles. . The kit is 1072 out of 1900. The doll has all of the fragile beauty of a real newborn. The kit has amazing realistic details. I've used only Genesis heat set paint to give baby true life-like skin tones. I wanted to give her the skin tones of a very newborn little one. She has sweet blotchy skin tones and stork bites. I've worked on my little baby doll for many hours, days and weeks to make her this detailed. I gave her very subtle veining, sweet mottling, realistic painted eyebrows and many sweet details.
I OPTED TO GIVE MY BABY GIRL A MAGNETIC PACIFIER. SHE HAS A STRONG MAGNET BEHIND HER LIPS TO HOLD THE MAGNETIC PACIFIER. PLEASE USE CAUTION AROUND ANY EQUIPMENT OR PERSONS SENSITIVE TO SUCH STRONG MAGNETS. Gwendolyn looks like she is a baby peacefully at sleep. She was given very wispy and sweet looking eyelashes. The rooted hair for her lashes came from Slumberland Nursery. The lashes are securely glued. I would advise being careful about putting clothing over the doll's head and face. I have spent countless hours painting baby with a delicate head of baby fine hair. I lay down layer and layer to build up depth and realism. Painted hair on a reborn baby doll is perfect for someone that likes to put lots of hats, headbands and caps on the dolls. The little style will always look neat and sweet. I added a layer of matt varnish to give the baby hairs a very realistic look. I love the effects I can get when I take my paint brush in hand. I can get very lovely swirls, crown and fine baby hairs. The brushes I use have only the very fewest bristles so I get a very fine line. Most people are so surprised when I tell them baby's hair is painted. My home is completely smoke free. I try to include everything covering the making of my dolls. If you have any questions please contact me. Please be aware my doll is not meant to be a play toy for small children. Not recommended for children under the age of 13. With careful care my dolls will last for many years. The doll is a newborn size and weighted for realism. She feels real when held. The limbs are full length so the doll can wear a large variet of clothing. The limbs can be GENTLY turned for posing. Baby's limbs are weighted with fine glass beads. The torso is weighted with plastic poly pellets and excellent quality fiber fill. Her head is weighted with plastic poly pellets and quality fiber fill. She is a small baby doll and just melts into my arms. No sand has been used in the making of the baby doll. The doll has a head that needs to be supported when picking her up, just as a new baby would.While Gwendolyn's head is not overly floppy I would still recommend support when picking her up and putting her back down. The head can be gently turned from side to side.
I point out everything on my dolls with complete honesty. These doll is absolute beautiful but there are a few imperfections on the limbs and hands. I have purposely taken close ups for you to see. In my opinion, it is barely noticeable unless you are looking for it. Before purchase be sure you are okay with it.

The doll will have this precious painted tummy plate. I have painted it with a very blotchy skin tone. I have not done any trimming on the plate but as the buyer, you may want to trim back some of the shoulder part of the plate. I will not do any trimming myself. The tummy plate is a half plate and does not extend to the lower part of the torso.
The baby's layette will include all of the clothing she is seen wearing.
