Yamila is a beautiful baby sculpted by the very talented Cathy Rowland and reborn by me, Carmen McNair. She has a fair complexion with a fair amount of mottling like that of a few week old newborn. Her beautiful light brown hair is sparsely rooted to look like that of an infant and carefully combed with a sweet little curl on the top of her head. Her finger and toe nails are gently manicured to look brand new and NOT as if she just came home from the beauty salon. She goes home to her new Mommy wearing her pink nightgown, white onesie, hair accessory, socks on her sweet little feet, and a fresh diaper. As a special surprise, I will include a beautiful dress ensemble of my choosing to go home with this sweet baby. Yamila also has her magnetic pacifier adapted just for her.

Yamila was the very first doll that I reborned as part of the class I took in WA State that started me on this marvelous journey. Although a beginner doll, she is nicely done and would make a nice addition to anyones collection.
Yamila is no longer a toy but instead an heirloom quality keepsake. Reborn dolls are not intended to be toys for small children and care should be taken with them just as you would with any other delicate keepsake.
Please use caution around Yamila's magnetic pacifier as the magnets used are very strong and should be kept away from children, computers and medical equipment.

About Me :
My name is Carmen McNair and although I have only been reborning since September of 2010, I am no stranger to the doll world. In 1997, I took classes to learn how to make porcelain dolls from scratch. Always having been a doll collector, making my own was so exciting! I immersed myself into this newly found hobby with everything I had. I bought three kilns and 1000s of porcelain doll molds. For many years, I sold my creations online through my website.
Then about 7 or 8 years ago, I discovered reborn babies on eBay and completely fell in love with these babies that look so real! I knew I had to try to make one of my own. Back then, the art form had not yet evolved to where it is today and my attempts were discouraging. RIT dye and stencil paints were used to color the vinyl and the slightest mistake ruined your doll. It was not until September of 2010 that I took a class in WA State that
taught me how to use Genesis Heat Set Paints to create beautiful life-like babies. Since then, I continue to take classes from experts in the field and through online classes. I strive to make each baby better than the previous.
In June of 2011, I was honored to have won First Place in the Novice Division of the IRDA Reborn Contest at the IRDA Conference in CA. Just recently, my Serenity Fairy was adopted by Shawna Clymer, the artist who originally sculpted this beautiful fairy. It was quite an honor to know that my fairy baby was desired by her original sculptor.
I participate in multiple forums and Reborning groups. I am a proud member of IRDA (International Reborn Doll Artists), REAL (Reborning Excellence and Artful Learning), and the Bountiful Baby Forum. In these groups, we all work together to learn new techniques in the reborning process and help new artists with any questions or difficulties they might have.
Thank you for allowing me to share my newest creation with you!
